St Patrick's Parish, Southport: Future Events

ROME PILGRIMAGE

In September 2009 we will be making a parish pilgrimage to Rome. We will fly from Liverpool direct to Rome, and stay at the Domus Carmelatina (a refurbished Carmelite Seminary in the very heart of Rome), offering half board accomodation in superb surroundings. The total cost will be £775, and includes travel, accomodation & guided tours; tickets will be obtaned for the Papal Audience. Application Forms can be obtained

FIRST COMMUNIONS ( May 2009)

Our programme has begun to help prepare our children for their First Holy Communion. As well as the school, the parish and parents will play a big part in the preparation. All children and their families will attend 9am Mass each Sunday morning, and the book the programme is based on, I BELONG, is available from the Office at £7 (cost price). The children will be in two groups, and the Sundays will be 3rd May and 10th May. On 17th May all chldren will attend a Mass of Thanksgiving followed by our annual May procession and then a bun-fight ! Something to really look forward to.

PARISH WORKERS PARTY

The last few years we have had our Parish Workers Party after the Christmas and New Years celebrations, because it is less cluttered with events. This is open to everyone in the parish who does a job, whatever it is, for the good of the Community. Tickets will be available shortly: just pop into the Office and ask for yours. We will confirm the date etc. next week.The Party will be on FRIDAY 16th January.
